After the cancellation of the 2019 New York City Triathlon, Team Tina's Wish decided to continue their training and participate in the 2019 Zoot Westchester Triathlon on September 22! Our four triathletes will be racing to raise awareness for Tina's Wish and ovarian cancer.
Tina’s Wish was founded in 2008 in memory of the Honorable Tina Brozman, former chief judge of the SDNY Bankruptcy Court, who died two years after she was diagnosed – too late – with ovarian cancer. Tina was not angry that she had the disease, she was angry that she did not know sooner. Know Early. Know Hope. ® This is our mission.
There is currently no early detection screen for ovarian cancer, the deadliest gynecologic cancer taking the lives of over 150,000 women around the world each year. Since its inception, the foundation has raised over $11.5 million for its cause. Annually, Tina’s Wish now funds $1.5 million of scientific research for the early detection and prevention of ovarian cancer. With your support, we can make Tina Brozman’s wish – to discover an effective early detection screen for ovarian cancer – a reality.
